Tweddle has partnered with Brimbank City Council’s Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Support Service to launch a breastfeeding support program for Brimbank families.
Designed to support families with babies up to 3 months old, the service will operate Tuesdays and Fridays during school terms. Tweddle’s Manager Community Programs and Maternal and Child Health Nurse LeAnn Williams is looking forward to the launch of the support program in Kings Park.
“As a Lactation Consultant, I know how important it is for mums to get additional support and encouragement so that they can enjoy their baby and the breastfeeding experience” said LeAnn.
“Mums and babies will be supported by a qualified lactation consultant in a friendly community setting. We’re pleased to have the partnership with Brimbank MCH who are taking a proactive role in supporting breastfeeding for families living in Brimbank.”
To book the no charge service families should contact the Brimbank Maternal and Child Health team on (03) 9249 4433 for a referral as spaces are limited.
