Leading Tweddle in the Quality role is Amanda Damian. Amanda commenced in November 2018 to support Tweddle to continuously improve services against two sets of standards during a four (Equip6) and three (DHHS) year period. Amanda brings with her extensive experience that will help maintain Tweddle’s compliance against both standards.

Amanda Damian graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Podiatry with Honours in 2003. From 2004 to 2018 Amanda has worked in various roles from clinician through to senior manager within the community health sector. Amanda has enjoyed working in quality management roles for the last 5 years and recently transitioned to Manager Quality at Tweddle Child and Family Services.  In addition, Amanda continues to maintain her clinical registration with AHPRA.

Throughout her career Amanda has led and been a member of many organisational working groups and committees such as: Occupational Health and Safety, Infection Control, Community Engagement, Medication Management, Quality and Risk, Family Violence Prevention, Clinical Governance, Clinical Educators and Healthy Workplace.  Amanda was also selected to be the community health representative for the DHHS Student Clinical Placement Network and Student Clinical Placement Plan Evaluation Advisory Group.

Amanda has led organisations through accreditation against National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, Quality Improvement Council, Human Service, Home Care and Child Safe Standards.

Amanda’s areas of knowledge include clinical governance, risk management, occupational health and safety, infection control, consumer participation, community engagement, auditing, evaluation, policy development, record keeping, stakeholder partnerships, cultural competency and health literacy.

Tweddle are well placed under Amanda’s leadership to meet our Public Hospital and DHHS accreditation requirements and the introduction of innovative processes to position Tweddle as a recognised leader in infant mental health.
