Tweddle has been successful in acquiring two grants that will see them continue to promote the voice of the child in the critical first 1000 days.
Tweddle will work in partnership with the Maribyrnong City Council to coordinate two series of 4 standalone workshops for parents with children up to school age. Tweddle’s Sleep Play Love Parenting Workshops will include day and evening sessions. The groups will be staffed by Tweddle, a bicultural facilitator and a Maribyrnong MCH nurse.
The Collier Charitable Fund awarded Tweddle funding to employ a trauma trained play therapist to work with babies and toddlers and to build the capacity of staff working with increasingly complex families in residential care. Groups will include sessions with families, one on one parenting support sessions and case consultation and secondary consults for staff.
Tweddle is grateful to The City of Maribyrnong and the Collier Charitable Fund for their support in continuing Tweddle’s provision of trauma informed care delivered in partnership for the benefit of babies, toddlers and families.
