Adjusting to life as your family changes and grows can be a time of stress. During this vulnerable period, individuals and families may benefit from professional support in assisting them to adjust to these changes as well as coping with many other of life's challenges. Tweddle Psychology Service has specialist knowledge and experience in providing support to women, men and families to enhance wellbeing and the parenting experience.

Our service provides

Individual psychology sessions focusing on:

  • Mood management during pregnancy and early parenthood.
  • Debriefing about the childbirth experience.
  • Adjusting to the parenting role.
  • Establishing and maintaining a relationship with your child.
  • Self esteem and assertiveness.
  • Managing anxiety.
  • Overcoming depression.
  • Grief and loss.
  • Family conflict.
  • We also provide specific group therapy programs designed to improve family functioning.

Who can attend?

Any parent, carer, couple or family with a child under the age of four.

Referrals + fees

Clients can refer themselves or be referred by a health professional.

Rebates may be available through Medicare or through private health insurance agencies.
