Tweddle joins Dr. Justin Coulson PhD at Prioritising Parenting event

Tweddle Child and Family Health Service CEO Jacquie O’ Brien will join highly acclaimed author, academic and parenting expert Dr Justin Coulson PhD as guest speaker at a ‘Prioritising Parenting’ event which will focus on families with complex needs.

In her presentation ‘The First 1000 Days (Building Babies’ Brains), Ms O’Brien will reflect upon recent global research and her significant experience in clinical settings offering therapeutic intervention to vulnerable parents, babies and toddlers.

Dr Coulson is an Honorary Fellow at the Centre for Positive Psychology in the Graduate School of Education at the University of Melbourne. He is a consultant to the Federal Government’s Office of the Children’s e-Safety Commissioner, and has acted (and continues to act) in an advisory capacity to well-known organisations including the Raising Children Network.

He earned his psychology degree from the University of Queensland and his PhD in psychology from the University of Wollongong. He has written multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and scholarly book chapters, as well as several books and ebooks about parenting.

Presented by Western Melbourne Child & Family Services Alliance, the event will be held on Thursday 15th September at the ‘Community Hub at the Dock – 912 Collins Street Docklands commencing at 9.30am. The event includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
