Give Where You Live lend a hand to families

Posted by Kerrie Gottliebsen | 22/07/16

Tweddle is incredibly grateful for the Support from Give Where You Live and the Geelong Community which has provided a grant for IT infrastructure and capital improvements to our Geelong Day Stay.

Tweddle CEO Ms Jacquie O'Brien said the improvements would help Maternal and Child Health Nurse Marion Wright and Early Childhood Professional Vera Davies to deliver vital parenting support programs to vulnerable mums dads and babies.

"Tweddle needed funding that would help improve data connectivity between the Geelong Day Stay Centre and the Head Office in Footscray" she said. "New equipment will save staff valuable time in manually transmitting data, link Geelong staff to the intranet and provide secure transmission of client medical records"

Two locally purchased desktop computers with networking capabilities will be installed as part of the grant.

Tweddle has been providing free services in the Geelong region since 2007. In the past 12 months over 400 individuals were supported by Tweddle's Early Parenting Support program. The Day Stay program helps parents with babies up to twelve months old for issues relating to sleep, settling, attachment, feeding, mental health and wellbeing.
