Support Group for Parents of Special Needs Kids Comes to Williamstown

Tweddle is delighted to announce the launch of our MyTime program in Williamstown. Funded by the Department of Social Services, My Time is a program that provides facilitated peer support for mums, dads and carers with children who have a developmental delay, disability or chronic medical condition. Grandparents Matter Community Forums Across The West

With thanks to Rotary Club Of Footscray, Tweddle are launching a series of free and informative Grandparenting education sessions in Brimbank, Melton, Maribyrnong, Hobson's Bay and Wyndham. Starting next week, the 'Grandparents Matter' program looks at how the role has changed, the highs and lows, an update on feeding and nutrition, the latest information on sleep & settling and the importance of looking after yourself. Child Protection Week Reinforcing The Importance Of Prevention

Launching on Father’s Day every year, National Child Protection Week supports and encourages the safety and wellbeing of Australian children and families. As a Statewide Early Parenting Centre supporting vulnerable families, clinicians are constantly mindful of the children and parents in their care. This week, Tweddle is delighted to welcome Sri Kirkwood, our new Parenting Assessment and Skills Development Service (PASDS) coordinator. Sri, who is a social worker, comes to Tweddle with exceptional experience including working locally and overseas with high risk families. Her work in the past has involved child protection, mental health, QEC PASDS, and at Monash Health in various roles supporting vulnerable families and children. Read more...
