Tweddle is participating in the Centre For Excellence in Child and Family Welfare’s 2015 Study Tour to the UK beginning on the 9th of April. Sponsored by The Department of Health & Human Services and The Office for the Commission for Children and Young people, Tweddle joins delegates from Victoria’s leading family support organisations.

In addition to Tweddle, the Study tour group includes Mackillop Family Services, Baptcare, OzChild, Anglicare Victoria, Foster Care Association of Victoria, Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, The Children’s Court of Victoria, Caroline Chisholm Society, Ballarat & District Aboriginal Co-operative Ltd, Aboriginal Children's Healing, The Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA), and The Centre for Excellence in Child & Family Welfare.

Tweddle CEO Jacquie O Brien is thrilled to be representing Tweddle “This is a great opportunity for representatives across a broad spectrum of Victorian support services working with and learning from our international counterparts and bringing our shared knowledge back to our workplaces and the sector”

The tour is focussing on the UK and includes attendance to the British Association for the Study and Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (BASPCAN) Conference in Edinburgh Scotland.  Delegates will visit various Child and Family organisations including End Child Prostitution And Trafficking UK, The Office of the Children’s Commissioner and the British Association for Adoption & Fostering.  Delegates will be sharing their news from the Study Tour on a blog on the Centre For Excellence in Child and Family Welfare website.
