Australasian Assoc Of Parenting and Child Health Conference

Victoria’s three Early Parenting Centres, Tweddle, The Queen Elizabeth Centre and Mercy O’Connell hosted the Australasian Association of Parenting and Child Health (AAPCH) Conference at Tweddle in Footscray on the 23rd and 24th of October.

Joining AAPCH President Mr Robert Mills were Early Parenting Centre delegates from around Australia and New Zealand including from Child and Family Health SA, The Ellen Barron Centre QLD, Karitane NSW, Ngala WA, QE11 ACT, Plunket NZ and Tresillian NSW.

Guest Speakers included Ms Robyn Miller, Principal Child Protection Practitioner DHS and Mr Simon Booth, Director, Vulnerable Children’s Reform Unit DHS.

Members and guests explored improvements in outcomes for young children and families as well as the role of early parenting services in the health services continuum, sector reform and new service models.
