Mental Health Week

Posted by Kerrie Gottliebsen | 08/10/13

World Mental Health Day falls on the 10th of October every year. In 2013, Mental Health Week will run from Sunday 6th to Saturday 12th October.

Mental Health Week aims to activate, educate and engage Victorians about mental health through a week of interactive events across the state including an official launch, community festivals, art exhibitions, music, theatre and seminars.

As co-ordinator of Mental Health Week in Victoria, the Mental Health Foundation of Australia (Vic) has the active involvement and participation of state and federal governments, as well as non-government organisations and communty-based health and social impact agencies.

You can order Mental Health Week Resources by visiting here or take part in various events

3 million Australians are living with depression or anxiety and help is available.  If you or someone you know would like to talk about mental health and support that is available, contact a Tweddle psychologist, Beyond Blue or PaNDA.
