Make A Difference

Run Melbourne

Run Melbourne are celebrating their 10th year and The Tweddle Foundation are proud to announce our involvement. As part of our passionate team you can run or walk a distance of your choice – 5 km, 10 km or the half marathon. Any funds that you raise along the way will support The Tweddle Foundation, building a future for vulnerable mums, dads, babies and toddlers and a centre for early parenting excellence in Melbourne’s west.

Joining our team is simple! Register for Run Melbourne, selecting The Tweddle Foundation as your charity of choice. You will receive an email with directions to set up your fundraising page as part of our team. We'll have a marquee on the day and supporters to encourage your efforts. Thanks and good luck with reaching your fundraising goal! Let our Communications Manager know if you'd like to fundraise separately.

The Tweddle Building Appeal

The Tweddle Foundation supports the critical work and facilities of Tweddle Child and Family Health Service, a place where struggling mums and dads turn to for help when the pressures of caring for their babies and toddlers becomes too tough to cope with alone. Exhaustion, stress, anxiety, depression, family violence, isolation, financial stress and drug and alcohol misuse can hit families hard.

There are a number of ways you can support the future of Tweddle. These include our everyday hero page, donating an engraved leaf to The Giving Tree, hosting an event, donating, volunteering and coming on board as a Corporate Partner. Our Fundraising kit will help you get started.

Thousands of lives are changed as a result of Tweddle's programs including residential, day stay, in home care, parenting groups in prison and peer support for parents of children with special needs. By supporting the Tweddle Foundation, you are helping to build a future for families and nourish the relationships critical to a baby's mental health, brain development and future learning and relationships.

We're grateful that you'd like to make a difference. Here's how to get started with becoming a Tweddle hero.

You can donate directly through the Tweddle Foundation Everyday Hero page or our Givenow page. Complete our Agreement to Fundraise (part of the Fundraising Kit) if you would like to coordinate an event. We will be in touch with you with any questions and to see if you have any questions for us.

Once we have approved your application we’ll email you:

A confirmation letter letting you know you’re allowed to fundraise and promote your event on behalf of Tweddle.

Historical Tribute to Tweddle - 95 Years of Community Service - Jim Hevey

Tweddle's 95 year history has been documented in an incredibly generous gesture by Tweddle baby Jim Hevey. Jim was alerted to Tweddle’s 95th Birthday celebrations in the local paper asking for Tweddle babies to get in contact with their stories. Jim was born 11 weeks premature and admitted to Tweddle on the 9th of August 1939. 77 years later, Jim credits Tweddle with saving his life. The 116 page historical book is available to purchase for $25 as a Tweddle fundraiser

Contact Kerrie Gottliebsen for a copy of the book on 9689 1577 or email
